We have Il Mulino booked for the last 2 weeks in May for the rest of our lives - it is our home in Italy - and we have no worries. The place is just perfect for our arrival, the grass is cut and the gardens manicured. The pool is clean and ready - nothing to do other than enjoy ourselves. 2008 will be our 8th consecutive year at Il Mulino. Friends come too - last year we had 2 additional couples who really enjoyed themselves. We love the local restaurants and supermarket where we are greeted like long lost friends! Paul and Sofia cannot do enough to help and Sam and Emily are just a delight. We walk, cycle and visit many local hill top towns and watch the world go by over another cappuccino or glass of vino. This villa is perfect for a quiet, relaxed, fantastic holiday. There is no fault honestly - fully recommended.
Monterchi is a lovely hillside village with all the characteristics of rural Italy. There are plenty of great places to eat and local countryside to explore. Siena, Florence, and Assisi are within easy commuting distance.
We stayed here Oct 2007. The location and setting of Il Mulino are idyllic. Its
also perfect for days out with Assissi, Sienna, Florence and many other
beautiful places within an hours drive. Monterchi Is a lovely village and the
local supermarket owner has to be met!!
We were given a lovely warm welcome
by Paul & Sofia on arrival at Il Mulino. The house is amazing. Beautifully
decorated & furnished, clean, spacious and full of authentic character.
Weather too cold for trying the pool but my determined children ventured their
feet in for a dip!! We had a truly relaxing and enjoyable break and are looking
forward to our return visit in August 2008 when I am assured by Paul that warmer
weather has been booked for us!!

We have had a lovely stay here and fully intend to keep coming back. The food is cheap but delicious and we have never slept so well!
